Walking

Here's a video of Liam walking tonight. Please excuse the hoody--we just got back from a bike ride. He's a bit clumsy (I think because it was almost bed time) but I assure you he walks REALLY well! Still really weird to see though! Kevin continues to remind me, I'm saying goodbye to my baby a week from tomorrow and hello to my toddler. Completely amazes me... so bittersweet!

Here are some funny videos of Liam walking the other night. He was using the balloons as his cushion when he fell. After seeing our expressions, I think he started doing it on purpose! He really is quite the character!

In other news, Liam waved and said bye-bye to a car today while we were outside playing in his ball pit. When another went by I told him to say bye-bye and he repeated the words and the gesture. So now we officially say "bye-bye".

Our stint with throwing all our dinner on the floor is over *knock on wood*. Pediatrician said NO FOOD, NO WATER an hour before dinner. So we moved nursing to before his nap and give him nothing when he wakes up (thought that would result in a grumpy Liam, but he's actually fine with it). And voila! he's eating his dinner again. PHEW! My child wasn't getting anything but bread for dinner for over a week, as he'd refuse everything else! So nice to see him eat his meats, veggies and bread.

Here are Caden and Liam playing last week. Caden was VERY offended Liam took the dinosaur toy (he wasn't even playing with it correctly, was he Caden? It's to push Liam, not to climb!). Caden was even more offended when Liam put his stinky foot on him. Look at his face. These boys are too funny!

Shh! Don't tell Liam, but here is his birthday gift from Mama/Dada that we will give him early Saturday morning (that is the day of his party!). Dada built it last night. We think he'll LOVE it (or hope so anyways!).

Sigh, well I am going to go relax. I will need to be rested for the official last week with my "baby". We're about to enter toddler-hood (shh! don't tell Liam but he will always be my baby!).

Therapy...

Not being silent about our loss is looking to be the best therapy for me during this difficult time. Through Facebook I've had countless friends reach out to me and share their stories of loss. Although it doesn't make me feel better, as we're talking about too many babies in heaven, it does make me feel less alone. So I was diagnosed w/ blighted ovum. Meaning the gestational sac and placenta was growing inside of me (the ultrasound showed it was indeed around 7 weeks along) but the baby stopped developing and was reabsorbed into my uterus. Problem is, the placenta is responsible for pregnancy symptoms, so my body still thinks it is pregnant, but there is no longer a baby or embryo. So, until I actually miscarry the tissue, I will feel pregnant. I don't know how to explain how I've been feeling the past few weeks. At first I thought it was just my uneasy feelings of this pregnancy being "unplanned" and so close to my previous pregnancy. It took me a wh...

25 Weeks & Doctor's Appt.

We hit the 25 week mark today!  Hard to believe!  Time is flying so fast... We had our doctor's appointment today (Kevin is out of town Thursday, so we moved it up).  I weighed in at a whopping 109.8!  My nurse and my doctor's response was they are so so proud of me (I felt so special!  Who would have thought GAINING weight would be so exciting?!).  Kevin's response "WHOA!"  And my response to his "WATCH IT Buddy!"  Ha!  So that's almost 14lbs of weight gain!  I really am quite proud of myself... never thought I could do it (although, I spend most of my time eating these days, so it makes sense). The nurse said I "look cute, am starting to show and have that pregnancy waddle."  Considering I did not feel like I was waddling (sometimes I have to because my tailbone hurts so bad) I was not exactly thrilled about this comment, lol!  I asked Kevin if there is something he is forgetting to tell me... ha! The doctor measured my...
