Double Digits!

We're 26 weeks pregnant today!  That puts us in double digits on the countdown.  In approximately 98 days our little guy should make his appearance and forever change our lives.  We could not be more excited!  I have been experiencing mixed emotions lately--I am quite anxious to meet our little man, but am also worried that we won't have everything done in enough time. Little man still doesn't have a name--every time I start leaning toward one I find some reason to dislike it.  Kevin really loves Aisen/Aeson, but for some reason it just doesn't sit well with me (cannot quite put my finger on it).  I thought I wanted to go with Levi, which also happens to be Kevin's second favorite, so we've really been thinking his name would be Levi William David Fagundes.  After weeks of agreeing on this, I changed my mind again because I fear the nickname Lee (just personal preference).  I really love Kohen, but it is not a favorite of Kevin's so it hasn't be...

25 Weeks & Doctor's Appt.

We hit the 25 week mark today!  Hard to believe!  Time is flying so fast... We had our doctor's appointment today (Kevin is out of town Thursday, so we moved it up).  I weighed in at a whopping 109.8!  My nurse and my doctor's response was they are so so proud of me (I felt so special!  Who would have thought GAINING weight would be so exciting?!).  Kevin's response "WHOA!"  And my response to his "WATCH IT Buddy!"  Ha!  So that's almost 14lbs of weight gain!  I really am quite proud of myself... never thought I could do it (although, I spend most of my time eating these days, so it makes sense). The nurse said I "look cute, am starting to show and have that pregnancy waddle."  Considering I did not feel like I was waddling (sometimes I have to because my tailbone hurts so bad) I was not exactly thrilled about this comment, lol!  I asked Kevin if there is something he is forgetting to tell me... ha! The doctor measured my...

A Work in Progress

As promised here are photos of the nursery (still a work in progress!). I'd still like to find a quote to go over the crib.  I wanted a quote that matched the theme of the room, but may settle for something different.  Still debating.  Here are some of my favorites: "Don't go through life,  grow through life." "Promise me you'll always remember... You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." "Welcome to the World Little One... Its Been Waiting for You" "May the sun shine, all day long, everything go right, and nothing wrong. May those you love bring love back to you, and may all the wishes you wish come true" "From small beginnings  come great things" "You are our dream come true" (this one has the word "dream" in a cloud) "A perfect ten"  (this one has two little feet with of course ten little toes in the background) "Sweetest...

24 Weeks & Growing!

We're 24 weeks today!  Mommy and Daddy agree that mommy's tummy grows more and more each day.  Makes sense, as Baby F is supposed to be growing an average of 6 ounces per week for the next month!  Mommy's back is certainly noticing the extra weight.  According to our scale, mommy has gained 11lbs so far (although we'll double check that at our next doctor's appointment!).  Mommy is still craving nacho cheese and anything sweet (as a matter of fact Daddy has cookies baking in the oven for Mommy right now!  What a sweetie!).  Fatigue has set in again!  Yesterday I took a 2 hour nap mid-day, but we had a busy weekend with visiting family, so Daddy reminded me to use that excuse! The nursery is coming along, we finished it off with a nice chocolate brown rug today.  I'll have to get in there soon and take some photos.  We've also got the walls done (minus a quote to go over the crib--I just haven't decided on one yet!).  Tonight I...

23 Weeks

We're 23 weeks pregnant--time is flying by!  The other night Kevin and I sat here discussing just how fast the pregnancy seems to be progressing (feels like just a few weeks ago I was taking a pregnancy test that revealed two pink lines!).  Upon realizing this, I decided it was time to roll up our sleeves and start working at getting everything ready for little Mr.!   The nursery bedding set is here, so we're slowly working on that project a little each night after Kevin gets off work.  I've also been putting the finishing touches on the baby registry since I have been asked about it so many times!  Other than that, not too much going on around here.  The energy draining bug has caught up with me again, but I hear baby is going through a major growth spurt so we're attributing it to that!  Also, nesting is kicking in--I am currently in the process of cleaning all of the baseboards in the entire house!  The 'normal' chores were done a few d...
