Liam at Grandma & Grandpa's

Liam is having a blast at his grandparents house! So far, both nights he has gone to bed late and played hard all day (but boy does he sleep at night and during naps). Had to say bye to Dada way too early this morning, but Liam didn't notice until dinner. Here he is playing and helping grandpa. He is in heaven... goes and goes with no rules or boundaries, toys galore and someone's attention on him at all times. Oh and Friday night we stayed at Michelle and David's house way too late (after visiting our beautiful new niece Rhys Kathryn) so Liam ended up borrowing Natalie's pajamas! Isn't he adorable?! Ha! And finally, here are some of liam and me playing. And a photo of Liam wearing dada's hat (he came out of bedroom with it on). Looks just like his daddy, huh?

Doctor update

Pathology reports on the tissue came in... absolutely no abnormalities and no signs of molar pregnancy or cancerous cells. He said surgery went well and all looked great, this was complete "freak accident" that from a medical standpoint should not happen again. My aches/pains should subside soon. I must either continue with prenatals and folic acid (especially if we want to get pregnant again in a few months) as this is believed to help reduce the chance of miscarriage. If we don't plan on getting pregnant soon, I'm to take a multi-vitamin and if this doesn't help, see my regular doc. for help with the bruising. Doc said he was/is so relieved I chose to do the surgery and hopes I feel the same (I do). He said there is no medical reason to not get pregnant again, but they recommend waiting 1-3 months so you can emotionally and physically recover (more for superstitious/voo-doo reasons, than medical facts). He has seen women carry a healthy pregnancy right away. H...

Appt today

I have my check up today to see how things have been going the past week. Physically, I'm doing well (minus the awful back pains I've had since the surgery... I thought my back hurt while pregnant with Liam, boy was I wrong). I also may be anemic, since coming off the prenatal vitamins, I've found lots of random bruises on my legs. My little pouch of belly is flattening out and my hormones are about back to normal. All the physical reminders are fading away, which helps. Emotionally, I felt like I had processed this and was/am over it, then I get around a pregnant woman or newborn (mostly music class-lots of expectant mama's and a newborn baby). I start wondering... will I ever again? Why did this happen to me/us? Will I always struggle? Can my husband handle the worry/stress? Can I? Or I watch Liam love and kiss his baby doll and my heart aches for him. Will He ever be a big brother? And then at some point during the day I get grumpy with poor Kevin, who is doing his ...

Catching Up

I just put the media card from our camera in the computer and realized I didn't post any photos of our lil' man flying his first kite this past weekend. We were in Walmart last week and he kept walking up to and grabbing a Blue Angels kite (Grandpa Snowden would be proud!). Dada told him he could get it and they'd fly it over the weekend. Lots of fun (maybe more so for Kevin than Liam!). Getting ready Caden was mesmerized! Liam really wanted to take Caden for a ride! Liam also got his own broom over the weekend (he LOVES the broom, mop and vacuum cleaner--and I hope that NEVER changes... HA!). He already has his own little "play" vacuum that he adores, so it was only appropriate for him to also have a broom (we'll add a mop to the collection soon, I'm sure!). Here he is sweeping the house (and denying it). Shaking his head "no" is his favorite thing these days (don't think he understands what it means). We're wor...

Breath of fresh air

We took a stroll and Liam/dada played on the playground yesterday for a bit (mama needed fresh air during her recovery). Liam enjoyed swinging with Dada, sliding, sitting in dirt, rubbing his new shoes in dirt and running around. Took us about 30 min. To get home (park is literally steps from our house) because little man INSISTED he push his car without help!!!

Daddy Duty

Liam helping Dada work from home today!

D&C

Recovering from my d&c I had a few hours ago. Had to do it--the tissue/sac was getting too big to pass on my own (and I'm tired of being sick and need to move on). All went well and feeling pretty good. Will update more later.

Morning Person

Beautiful Thursday morning smiles to you!

13 Months Going on 13 Years!

Liam turned 13 months today! What a wild ride it's been, over the last month Liam has learned how to say and do the motions for "no" with his head, has started climbing things (everything) and continues to show his personality (laughing at himself or you, making you laugh and flirting are his newest talents!). He weighed in last week at 22 Lbs. Not sure how tall he is, he still fits under the kitchen table, but not by much, he's only got about a quarter inch before he hits his head. Last week on Friday I got a frantic call from Shannah while I was driving home from Oxnard. She was calling to tell me they were on their way to Urgent Care. Apparently Liam decided to wiggle out of a shopping cart and fell to the floor! He checked out fine, made it home without a mark! Now for Mom? Not so much, terrified of it happening again! As soon as she got home, she ordered a 5 point shopping cart harness. It's yet to arrive... I'm sure he'll hate it! Liam has spent...
