Lorelei at 18 months

Lorelei has started putting herself to sleep at night (took some mommy/daddy coaxing). Her vocabulary is INSANE.  If we or bubba challenge her to say something she will definitely try it. My FAVE is "sis I love you" & she says "eww tooo" PRECIOUS! Some of her words: Mama, daddy, bubba, doggy, choo choo, bird, apple, yeah, yay, car, copter (caca), hi, bye, ball, cake (cakey), you too (eww too), baby, milk (gilk), shoe (chew). She waves at people and says "hi" but clings to mama if someone else tries to hold her.  She loves her baby dolls & pushing her stroller around.  She loves trains,  dogs & mickey mouse.  She's an outdoor girl, she would play outside ALL DAY if I let her.  She loves talking on the phone.  She's a daddy's girl,  her daddy is her world,  she runs to the door when she hears him come home.  Lately she is really into accessorizing with a necklace and her favorite hat and she loves when we call h...

Liam at 3 1/2

Oh this boy is too much.  But before I get to that his stats: weighs 33.5lbs  and 38 inches tall. Wears size 3t clothes (finally only fits in age appropriate clothing) & wears a size 7, which I think is about to be a size 8 shoe. I am regularly told Liam is a 40 year old in a 3 year old body.  He's almost too smart for his own good and often tells us he can hardly wait to be a parent so he can be bossy.  He has his wife all picked out.  He's just waiting on finishing up his schooling and nailing a job.  I was the same way as a little girl,  so I know first hand how quickly his childhood can pass him by if I don't force him to slow it down and enjoy his childhood. He goes to preschool 2x a week for 3 hours a day.  He has learned to write all his letters,  it's so neat to just tell him how words are spelled and he writes it.  He still needs to develop self control in group settings so I'm hoping to see improvements over time with tha...

Lorelei at 15 months

Lorelei is growing so fast. She is standing almost to her big brother's shoulders now at 30.5 inches and weighs 22.5 lbs.  She repeats nearly everything we ask her to say.  Her words of choice are: ball, dada, mama, bubba, doggy, puppy, see it, here, wee, all done. New words: bird, papa, boo. She LOVES mickey & minnie mouse,  books (especially Thomas the train books--oh no please not that obsession!), SHOES, purses, the cozy coupe, climbing,  petting the dog, water, music & dancing (she bounces up and down!).  She's a cuddler, outgoing, always willing to try new things,  stubborn as a mule but sweet as sugar & into EVERYTHING. She is always observing and imitating,  especially her brother (which can be good and bad!). She LOVES sleep.  Takes 1 nap a day 3-3.5 hours long and goes to bed around 8pm and sleeps until 7,8 or 9am. Size 4 shoe,  12/18 month clothes,  size 3 diapers.  Teeth: so many coming in I keep losing count...

Lorelei is 1!

Our stunning little girl turned 1 on December 6, 2013! We celebrated with some 1 yr old photos and after we met daddy and Liam at Denny's for a breakfast lunch (her favorite foods!). We had so much fun celebrating with our little lady. The following day, Lorelei was surrounded by friends for her party. We had a brunch complete with chocolate chip waffles, strawberries, fruit and cake! Mmmm! Lorelei was showered in love and gifts and was so grateful to everyone who helped make the day that much more special! At her one year check up (which was actually at about 12.5 months) we were SHOCKED to NOT get griped at over her weight. LO is GROWING! She weighed 19.07lbs at her check up on Dec. 26...
