Liam at his new gym

Last weekend, we took Liam to a new gymnastics center in town! We switched because they have classes on sat. Mornings (so its something we can do as a family or father/son). We were pleasantly surprised. It's a lot less structured as far as "how" the kids have to do activities. I'm all for structure but at this age, it can be difficult forcing your toddler to do something a certain way and at a certain time. And while they are not teaching gymnastics skills per se, the motor development skills they are allowing the kids to develop with independence is enough to keep us going back! A super swing, sling machine, pool noodles to run through (Liam's favorite!), monkey maze, tramp track, rock wall... Oh the fun! So much so, we've rented the place for Liam's birthday party on June 9th! Boy are we going to have fun!

Day Out with Thomas!

Today we drove about 2 hours south to Fillmore, CA for "A Day out with Thomas the Train." What an adventure we had! Such a warm day (we're not used to that!) filled with tons of people but lots of fun! Seeing Thomas for the first time! Ready for his ride (it's nap time, so he was tired!) Dada and Liam are excited! Our lil' family! He makes friends wherever he goes! Thomas tat! Snow cone face! We love Thomas! Uneasy with Sir Topham Hatt or "hat" as Liam calls him And he's OUT! And Liam after we got home in "dada's chooz" and after his shower in his new Thomas robe!

22 Months

On April 13, 2012 (HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA/MOM) Liam turned 22 months old! This was the only photo our sweet (& strong willed) toddler wanted to take! So, that was the end of our 22 month photo session ;) Liam has really blossomed in language development. He talks up a STORM! From "truck" to "choo-choo" to "bye-bye" (the sweetest little goodbye you've ever heard) and even starting to put words together ("dada chooz" (shoes) or "got you!"). He has the tiniest, sweetest little voice and it's so nice to be able to communicate with him. He makes his wishes pretty clear (hands me a remote and says "doogers" for diggers, which means Bob the Builder) or "app lll" when he wants an apple. His "bank you" for thank you and "peeaass" for please is pretty adorable too! Oh this stage is sooo fun! Besides the many words he says, he's also pretending to read. Every night we read a book cal...

Choo Choo's & Fire Truck!

While in Hanford, we took Liam to the Amtrak station to see a train arrive and depart. To say he loved it was an understatement! As he waited he said "track, track, track" and pointed at the track. The next day, Grandpa arranged a fire station visit to see a fire truck. Liam is obsessed with trucks, especially fire trucks (sounds like truck-truck when he says it). He had so much fun! Trying to spray mama... "no no!"
