Liam's first tummy time

Liam had his first experience with tummy time tonight. He sure shocked Mom & Dad. We were expecting him to just lay there! Here's how he started... In the process... we weren't sure what he was doing, I thought he'd try to roll, but we were very surprised when we saw what he was actually doing... Here's how he ended up: Here's a video of the action: Wow Liam... you look like you'd like to CRAWL!  It's okay to just lay there during tummy time!  We are so proud of you, but please don't grow up too fast. I'd love to write more, but Liam is fussy tonight and daddy needs backup, so I have to run...

Happy 2 Weeks Liam!

Today marks Liam's 2 week birthday! We are halfway through our first month together! We cannot believe how fast the time is flying by. Liam is adjusting to "life on the outside"... Sleep patterns: He usually eats, we change half way through the feeding (Liam falls asleep half way through), he finishes eating and is usually asleep when the feeding ends. In the day time he will sleep for 2-3 hrs (usually mommy has to wake him to feed him, occasionally he wakes himself). Crazy boy... that's not the way it works! Personality: We call him "Lazy Liam" because he's so laid back and spends most of his day sleeping. Sometimes I wonder if he's just really laid back, scared or taking it all in (or a combination of the t...

Lots of Firsts in the First Week/Second Weeks

The first week with Liam has been a blessing.  After two nights of being home it seems he has found a pattern that works for all of us.  He is now sleeping 2-4 hours at night and usually goes right back down after eating and a diaper change!  During the days it is much of the same, except he'd LOVE to sleep all day (but mommy wakes him every 3 hours for feedings).  Most days he will stay awake for ten to thirty minutes after one feeding.  Really is nice to interact with him during these times. Liam has had a week filled with "firsts".  We took Liam on his first walk (and a second this week), he had his first bath last night, had a first (and second) appointment with the pediatrician (today they circumcised him--an awful experience for mommy) and celebrated Daddy's first Father's Day! The pediatrician is very impressed with Liam's progress.  He is up to 6lbs 6oz (he was only expected to measure in at his birth weight of 6lbs 1 oz by this upcoming Mo...
