Last few days in photos!

Spiky hair, boots (that we wear everywhere & now make morning walks longer) & cartoon watching at grandma's! Oh the fun! I need to get some photos of him at music (his behavior was better this time around). We've also ventured to the park & a playground this week (can you tell it's cooling off a bit?). No photos of those fun times though :-/ We did get a voluntary pee pee on the potty. Before he got in the shower after swimming, he asked to go potty. I helped him up & he did the rest in the potty! So proud of him! We had an incident tonight where Liam picked up glass at the apt laundry room (& tried to eat it). I thought he was badly hurt, but after all the blood was cleaned away, we (I called my dad over) realized it was just his thumb (though that cut is pretty deep!). Liam never cried (brave boy) & let grandpa put a band aid on him (he's scared of band aids because they give them to him after shots-he thinks the band aid causes the pain)...

Liam says his letter sounds

So a few need work (especially vowels) but he's 2!!! I'm mighty impressed!

What I've learned in a week

One week post Vafb & I've learned: When someone drives past my apartment, the antenna on my tv stops working. My dogs poo more in a day than I could've ever imagined (& I'm already tired of picking it up). All ant traps are not created equal. Your significant other does more than you think he does in the limited amount of time he was home. I miss having an Internet connection, my couch to lounge on & cool weather. Other than that, you really can live without a lot of things in your house that you think are "must haves" (I promise you, they are just luxuries!). My two year old can operate in Energizer bunny mode with no rest, no break & little food (I however, require an afternoon nap to keep up with him). Oh the joys of being a military wife! Here's the kicker: I must be ill or insane because I wouldn't change it for the world!

Update!

Liam had a hard time when daddy first left. The evening he left, he was fine (he's used to not seeing daddy at night). But when daddy didn't come get him from bed the following morning, he had a total break down. He cried for him, looked for him & fell apart. It was awful! That day didn't get any better. Everything resulted in a melt down, he threw things at my mom's daycare kids & whined with them, he bumped girls in music class & took things from their hands. He was not a happy camper or a pleasant toddler. Bath & bed that night was surprisingly easy, but I'm convinced he was just worn out from his antics! It was an emotionally exhausting day for us both. Yesterday & today have been a bit better, although he still seems a bit more whiny than normal. He continuously chews on his hands & had a bout of diarrhea today so I'm wondering if he's sick or getting his 2 yr molars. I'm on the lookout for more signs (so far, no temp.)...

22 weeks

Here is my 22 week bump. My feet are sooo thankful our double move is now over! They were aching & swelling pretty bad this weekend! We are settled into our apartment (& very comfy, thanks to our generous family!). Kevin has started his journey to Texas (Los Angeles first to check out! Yay!). Loralai Rose has started becoming a maniac inside of me. She is flipping around (sort of makes me nauseated) & kicking/punching like crazy. Her movements are still pretty low, but moving up a bit! This morning, I checked into the Obgyn on base. I have an appt on Thurs. with a nurse to get the paperwork done to assign me an Ob. Hoping to have a real appt. next week so we can check my belly growth & weight! Liam mentions his sister at random. He is also regressing a bit (ped said to expect it with the move!). He told me the other day "Liam baby!" I said "Liam big boy, baby is in mama's belly." He said "no Liam big baby!" I think he's a bi...

Pcs day 5

Moving to Hanford day! Liam wanted to drive in "dada truck wif traider" (trailer) lol. So off they went. I'd say he enjoyed it!

Pcs day 4

We spent our last night (air mattress & pack n play) in the home we truly watched Liam blossom in! He learned to walk, talk & became his own little person here. We've made unforgettable mommy/kiddo friends here! This goodbye will prove a bit more difficult than the others I'm sure. But we're off to create new memories elsewhere (after I clean this house of course!).

Pcs day 2

Things are packed & inventoried. Tomorrow they load our crates & they head off to storage! We had what seemed like a lot LESS stuff this time! Don't know how we pulled that off with Liam & Loralai added on to this pcs, but I'm happy about it! $1 a pound overage on weight would've made for a bad day ;)

Pcs day 3

Today's the day that always makes me a little uneasy & emotional (wonder how I'll handle it pregnant & hormonal?Or how Liam will feel about watching his toys go?). All our household goods get loaded into crates & hauled off to a storage facility. I've never stored my items this long (5-6 months) & am pretty anxious about it (please don't let either of those storage units burn or flood--rare, but it happens!). I know it's just "stuff" but we've both worked very hard for this "stuff." So today is goodbye, a time to celebrate hard work, maybe a time to shed a few tears, but most of all a time to celebrate a bittersweet moment: we're on to bigger (& hopefully better things); a new chapter or an "adventure" as we've been telling Liam! Here goes everything!

Pcs day 1

Well Liam is enjoying the moving process (as you can see!). One of the packers said he helped her load his toys into the box! I don't think he understands they won't be back for a while, but nice that he's so helpful & willing! ;)
