Liam AND Caden!

Liam and Caden were reunited yesterday. Caden is allowed to go on walks with Liam. They both kept looking at each other the entire walk... too cute! WELCOME HOME Caden (he looks fantastic by the way, such a remarkable young man!).

Weekends (and in between!)

I am FINALLY getting around to uploading photos and video from the past 3 weeks! Two weekends ago (3 weeks ago) we took Liam to the Santa Barbara Zoo after a week of fighting the stomach flu. We all really needed to get out and had so much fun! Pointing at the elephant Liam says "uuuwww" Feeding goats Last week, Liam joined Dada on the floor for the Steelers game. He was so cute. Kevin would say "FOOTBALL" and Liam would throw his arms up in the air. Kev is loving this... his son LOVES football (especially Steelers football!). Last weekend, Liam showed us just how much of a water baby he is. He started off by playing in the dog dish we have out back, which reminded me of his pool we stored away. Kevin got it out and here is what the fun looked like. The next day, we added his little slide, he loved sliding into his pool! And here is our water baby fully clothed getting into the sprinkler I had set to water the lawn (which you can t...

Misunderstanding

I think we may have a potty training misunderstanding...lol this kid! By the way, I have no idea why blogger turns my photos, they are correct on my phone?! Sorry!

Helping mama clean....

Yesterday, Liam helped me clean Caden's house for his homecoming! Okay, maybe he climbed on the activity table and played with his train while mama was not looking, but he also removed several clorox wipes and scrubbed a couple walls (not pictured, lol). I've said it once and I will say it again.... Never a dull moment with this kid! And some randoms from today that made me smile...

Love for Caden

Caden's Fund This is Caden Rose, an amazing little boy who has been through a lot during his 17 months on this Earth. We are so blessed to know him/have him in our lives! For those of you who don't know, Caden had a liver transplant on July 29th and another surgery on August 10th, as he needed a biopsy and a buildup of liquid removed. Surprisingly recovery from the first surgery went better than the second, but Caden is determined and doing better and better day by day. I had no doubts--this little guy is so brave and strong, you certainly should not let his size fool you! For Caden's full story, please visit the Rose Family blog (although, I will warn you, he will break and warm your heart all at the same time): The Rose Family I know a lot of you have been praying for Caden and ask me about him daily. I've even had people ask how they can go about making a donation to help. I discussed this with Caden's mother a while back, but at the time things were just too h...

Shots stink!

This lil guy got two shots this morning, fell asleep and woke screaming and has been for an hour. Awful! Some ibuprofen, banana bite cookies (thanks Ava), mickey mouse and sitting in dada's recliner by himself finally got this out of him...

14 Months

Liam is officially a big boy! We've been meaning to clean out all the "baby stuff" from his room and give him more play space for months now. Unfortunately, the pregnancy, then miscarriage, work (Kevin), stomach flu (this week) and a vacation last week (Liam/mama)/business trip (Kevin) kept us from doing so. Feeling somewhat better (finally!) we decided to change that. We threw away paci's, bottles, burp cloths, took out the changing table, moved some furniture around, added some toys and have plans to get him a race car bed/room theme when he's ready. It's Liam's fresh start with only big boy things! Here is Liam's new big boy room where he has more space to spread out and play (which he does a lot these days). We always take a booster seat when we eat out and Liam does so well with it, we decided to convert his high chair into the booster seat (love our new convertible high chair!). Last night was his first night eating like this and he did great...
