32 week appt (last Friday)

A week ago, I had my 32 week check up. I've gained 18lbs (112.4) which they were really impressed by/happy with (yay!). Belly still measured behind, but she wouldn't even tell me the measurement ;) Lorelei hated the Doppler (as usual) & took off when the midwife got her hb (she chased her around over & over). Got to about 145 and the midwife gave up! Ha! What a brat! Midwife prescribed meds for allergies & sleep. She said I truly need to get more sleep & prescribed Benadryl for that. Okay lady-I can't be drugged out of my mind when my son needs me! So I didn't even pick up my prescriptions! I'm a single mama right now, can't be taking risks like that. I will be seeing a new doctor in 2 weeks (3 total weeks from the last appt) so just before 35 weeks. I have 3 doctors I've yet to meet, so I'm trying to cross them off my list, so I will know them all when it comes time for labor & delivery :) I'm having some issues. I've...

Pumpkin Patchin' 2012

Trying to get in a couple of last "hoorahs" of mommy/Liam time before Miss Lorelei makes her appearance in 6-10 weeks! I'm going to start taking it easy here in a few weeks in hopes of cooking her until daddy comes home... so, Liam and mommy are trying to fit in some fun! And fun was had at the pumpkin patch! *Please excuse the photos! It was ALL I could do to manage my toddler, my camera, my iPhone & my big belly!*  He posed immediately for me & wanted to sit on pumpkins for photos "I sit on pum kin mama!"  And then the train came around the bend tootin' and Liam was after it! His outfit fit in here (he is sooo proud of his pumpkin shirt, but REFUSED to wear it. He said "I wear ductor (conductor) shirt & ductor hat Mama!"  He slept on the way to the patch, so I think he's still sort of out of it!  Kid only ride. I was nervous, I told him to stay on his bottom or he could get a boo boo. Here was his reaction.  S...

29 week ultrasound

Here's our pretty lil' Lorelei! I had a scan today to measure Lorelei's growth (since my tummy continues to measure behind by 1-2cm at every appt.). I also requested the scan because we were told during my last bleeding episode that Lorelei's bowels were lighting up on the ultrasound (possible echogenic bowel syndrome, but 90% of the time, it's nothing!). After transferring to the base, I requested the doctor order a scan so we would know IF she had any issues (minor or severe) what hospital would be best to deliver at (the base does not have a NICU). Our results: lil' lady is measuring 2lbs, 12 oz (PERFECT!) and she is COMPLETELY healthy as far as scans, blood tests, etc. show. She does NOT have echogenic bowel. As a matter of fact, the doctor said they should have told us that when you bleed, baby almost always swallows the blood and it will light up the bowels. When I told them I was bleeding the day the ultrasound revealed bright bowels, the tech ...
