23 months & mothers day!

Mr. Liam is 23 months old today! 23 months ago I joined an exclusive club of Mommies! It's been a real whirlwind, but truthfully the greatest "job" I've ever had. I love this lil booger sooo much! (btw, he was fine in the photo below, just didn't want to take his 23 month photo).

Liam can put slip on crocs on by himself (& tries to put his Velcro shoes on too!).

He loves to be outdoors & do anything physical (lately that's been assisted head stands from the couch or unassisted somersaults).

He loves learning! He can identify every letter, #1-10, he can count #1-10 (sometimes skipping 1, but he knows it's supposed to go there). He can identify a circle, oval, rectangle, square & triangle. He knows all his colors. I don't really structure a learning time, I just go with what he's interested in, when he's interested in it or turn "fun" activities into learning time (he loves telling you the colors of colored goldfish snacks!).

He talks A LOT! He's a parrot, he will repeat anything! He always says peas & thank you. We've finally reversed the up/down confusion (he'd whine at your feet & say "dow peas"). Now it's "up peas"

The other night he asked me for a "key-is" before bed (I was headed in for one but I guess I wasn't getting there fast enough!). Melted my heart :)

He loves saying hi & bye to people & giving them knuckles & high fives! Quite the socialite!

He loves brushing his teeth & says "Awww" as dada helps him brush!

He's obsessed with trucks, race cars, garbage trucks, trains, motorcycles, tractors, etc. He goes crazy when he sees them on the road. And plays for hours with his toy vehicles at home! He feels the same way about horses & cows!

He's 32-32.5" tall. Not much growing going on, although he always looks bigger. But I swear every month we measure him we say "32ish" lol!

He still weighs about 26.6 lbs. not much change there either. Poor kid, I promise he eats, he's just petite like mama!

His feet have grown. Jumped from 5/5.5 to a 6 this past month. So something is growing ;)

Still in size 4 diapers. We did get one poo on the potty the other day, but only because mama knew he was going to go potty (the look he gave me). He sat down, told me "mkay" & reached out to get down. I handed him a book & asked him to stay. A minute later, he did his business. No repeat performance so far, but we did celebrate this monumental moment (hey at least he's not afraid of the potty). I've included a photo of his sweet treat he got for the accomplishment!

He still wears 18 mo pants & 18mo-24 mo/2t shirts. He finally outgrew his 12 mo pants (in length).

He's all boy. He's been cut up, bruised, skid marked, etc. & usually laughs it off! No fear in this kid I tell ya! (I've attached a skid mark photo!-- thought he learned, but he still runs full speed on the sidewalk!).

He's a special, smart, sweet lil guy. I'm soooo blessed to be his mama. Every day is a new, fun adventure. I never know what to expect out of him everyday but I sure look forward to it!

Therapy...

Not being silent about our loss is looking to be the best therapy for me during this difficult time. Through Facebook I've had countless friends reach out to me and share their stories of loss. Although it doesn't make me feel better, as we're talking about too many babies in heaven, it does make me feel less alone. So I was diagnosed w/ blighted ovum. Meaning the gestational sac and placenta was growing inside of me (the ultrasound showed it was indeed around 7 weeks along) but the baby stopped developing and was reabsorbed into my uterus. Problem is, the placenta is responsible for pregnancy symptoms, so my body still thinks it is pregnant, but there is no longer a baby or embryo. So, until I actually miscarry the tissue, I will feel pregnant. I don't know how to explain how I've been feeling the past few weeks. At first I thought it was just my uneasy feelings of this pregnancy being "unplanned" and so close to my previous pregnancy. It took me a wh...

25 Weeks & Doctor's Appt.

We hit the 25 week mark today!  Hard to believe!  Time is flying so fast... We had our doctor's appointment today (Kevin is out of town Thursday, so we moved it up).  I weighed in at a whopping 109.8!  My nurse and my doctor's response was they are so so proud of me (I felt so special!  Who would have thought GAINING weight would be so exciting?!).  Kevin's response "WHOA!"  And my response to his "WATCH IT Buddy!"  Ha!  So that's almost 14lbs of weight gain!  I really am quite proud of myself... never thought I could do it (although, I spend most of my time eating these days, so it makes sense). The nurse said I "look cute, am starting to show and have that pregnancy waddle."  Considering I did not feel like I was waddling (sometimes I have to because my tailbone hurts so bad) I was not exactly thrilled about this comment, lol!  I asked Kevin if there is something he is forgetting to tell me... ha! The doctor measured my...
