Oh this boy is too much. But before I get to that his stats: weighs 33.5lbs and 38 inches tall. Wears size 3t clothes (finally only fits in age appropriate clothing) & wears a size 7, which I think is about to be a size 8 shoe.
I am regularly told Liam is a 40 year old in a 3 year old body. He's almost too smart for his own good and often tells us he can hardly wait to be a parent so he can be bossy. He has his wife all picked out. He's just waiting on finishing up his schooling and nailing a job. I was the same way as a little girl, so I know first hand how quickly his childhood can pass him by if I don't force him to slow it down and enjoy his childhood.
He goes to preschool 2x a week for 3 hours a day. He has learned to write all his letters, it's so neat to just tell him how words are spelled and he writes it. He still needs to develop self control in group settings so I'm hoping to see improvements over time with that. He can definitely get himself into trouble following his friends at school. He's taking swim lessons at the ocean and about to start soccer!
He LOVES transformers, monster trucks, Cars cars, race cars and my little ponies (his future wife hooked him on those!). He loves books, riding his bike, the beach, the ipad (a curse and a blessing), helping with chores like walking the dogs, cleaning the table after dinner and cleaning up the bath toys after bath time.
He is stubborn, speaks eloquently, yet has a hard time expressing his feelings with words. We're working on using our words over throwing huge drawn out fits. He still hates slowing down to eat and when he finally does he is the slowest eater ever. And all he ever wants is mcdonalds, yuck! Likes chicken nuggets, broccoli, bananas, milkshakes, pepperoni, milk, lemonade, apple juice, Ice cream, donuts and redi whip. So healthy I know!
He's a go getter, wild child who sometimes threatens his sister's safety with his craziness, but most times she just joins in while we're lecturing him about her safety. He's in insanely bossy (like his mama) and we're working on that a bit (I want him to maintain some leadership skills). He's ALL BOY, ALL DAY! Our house is a fun, loud & exciting place to be ;)
He still fights his sleep and gave up napping a long time ago. He sleeps from 9/10pm (put to bed at 8pm) until 6 or 7 am. Sleep is for the weak is his motto! He's anxious to turn 4 so he can have a party and go to Chuck e. Cheese. Oy! That should be fun.
He's a movie buff and OBSESSED with Frozen right now. Knows EVERY WORD of EVERY song. That's not too much of a shocker though, Liam has an AMAZING memory. He remembers things from years ago. Every house but Grover & so many experiences/happenings. It's wild!
He's insanely curious and is always critically thinking and asking questions
"where do volcanoes come from?"
"What do the clouds do?"
"What is fog?"
And his favorite question to every thing you say: "why?"
Liam is a sometimes challenging but an oh so sweet and blossoming little boy. I love him to the moon and back and appreciate that there is NEVER a dull moment when he's around. He's such a sweet, happy & fun little dude! What a gift he truly is. Makes my heart so full, happy and lighter. Learning to appreciate the small things through his growing, accepting eyes. I love you crazy boy!
