Hard to believe our little guy will be here in 2 months (give or take). Seems like not too long ago I was standing in the bathroom in shock! Wow, how times flies.
Baby F (still nameless) is active and growing (as you can see from the newest photos). I am officially in the third trimester (apparently there is great debate on when that actually starts). The second trimester went fairly well, although I did not get that burst of energy everyone claims to get back around that time. I am thinking my iron deficiency had something to do with that. The doctor found the iron deficiency toward the end of the second trimester, so the energy I did have with the help of the supplements was short lived--go figure!
The third trimester has slowed me down a lot. I move a lot slower, I rest a lot more and it seems everything is swollen (my poor feet ache and swell with even the simplest of errands). My tailbone has never hurt worse and my back really aches. Yesterday I was cramping throughout the day (mild, then severe) but the doctor did not seem too concerned about it. Oh well, this little guy is more than worth all the pain I am enduring!
Our little guy is so active. Seems like he is CONSTANTLY moving around, kicking me or jabbing me (except at night--he must sleep then). We're pretty sure we've figured out what body parts keep coming out of my tummy (usually it's a foot on my top right side and a hand on the bottom left side). Every once in a while it seems like a party is going on in there (a lot of different parts and an overall "rolling" of my belly). Not sure what is going on there, but he seems to enjoy doing it!
We went to our first official class today (breastfeeding). It was VERY informative--both Kevin and I agree we learned a lot. At first we were not too excited about spending our Saturday morning in class (eww, Saturday school) but it turned out to be better than we thought. Definitely worth our time and effort. Hopefully we can put everything we learned in to good practice!
Things should be slowing down for me. The exams I score from home are officially done for this session, so I won't be asked to do that again until June (which I may/may not be able to participate in--just depends on when little man makes his appearance). In all likelihood, I won't have to worry about work again until August or so. That gives me great relief--it was really difficult sitting still on a computer for 8 hrs a day when your back/tailbone ache and you can never seem to find a comfortable position. I am just grateful I did not take a teaching job when we moved here--planning for a substitute is no fun! Kevin is busy at work (as usual) and will probably only get busier as he prepares to take a month off to stay home with me and the baby. Lots to accomplish before he takes leave for that length of time!
Well, that's all for now! Check back with us soon, I think we may be narrowing in on a name and Baby F's shower is next weekend (I could not be more excited). To close, here are some photos taken today (30 weeks, 4 days). Enjoy!

I look pretty normal here
But then I turn and reveal a big round belly!
Kevin says I'm rocking the baby gut!
Definitely bigger underneath the clothes
I wonder if my belly button will ever be the same?!
Thanks everyone for checking in on us... come back soon!
