There has been so much going on in the Fagundes household, it's been hard staying on top of the blog! Liam is growing up so fast. He has been sitting up unassisted for longer amounts of time (on Sunday he sat for about 7 minutes before falling). He usually only falls when his curious little self gets to looking around--he has to learn to balance that big ole' precious head.
Also, every time we go in his room to pick him from a nap or bed time he is on his tummy, arms locked out, chest and head up, on his knees, legs moving! This little guy is really trying to figure out how to crawl! Kevin and I both crawled around 6 months old, so we're thinking little man may just follow in our foot steps. I have yet to think about going into his room to get a photo of him in action--I'll have to do that and post it next time.
I did get some video of him playing on Sunday morning, but he wasn't as active as usual and really didn't move as much as he normally does. But, because I find him adorable no matter what he does, we'll share the video anyways!
Liam was gifted Cousin Braxten's old high chair (and lots of clothes, toys and other necessities). Here's our big boy waiting to be served his first meal in his high chair!
This past Saturday, Liam's Great Papa came to visit/meet him for the first time (Papa & Shirley came all the way from Oregon!). What a treat it was. Liam LOVED them. Liam was in the middle of going down for a nap when they arrived and he decided to take a nice long nap to prepare himself for the meeting (secretly I think he knew we were all hungry and waiting on him--ha!).
After meeting his Great Papa & Shirley, we fed Liam, changed him and set out for lunch at Grammy's favorite restaurant. For the first time ever, Liam sat in his car seat at the restaurant (I'd say for at least 10 minutes) without a single tear! This is VERY unusual for him (he hates his car seat, although that is starting to get better, but he refuses to sit in it while we eat, shop, etc.). If we are stationery (and sometimes even when we're not) he wants OUT of the seat. We were so proud of him. He was so well behaved! When he finally did get out of the seat, he charmed some other patrons, the waitress and played Mr. Silly for Grammy.
After lunch, we waited for cousin Natalie to arrive with Great Papa, Shirley & Grammy. Liam took a short nap, but woke up in time to play for a little while!
And here we are eating oatmeal last night... it's such a fun time watching little man enjoy his meal.
The following are actually from last Wednesday (when he was still eating rice cereal). How cute is his latest trick? (foot up on my high chair while I eat)
Aunt Kimber & Cousin Braxten stayed with us Sunday night. It was nice for mommy to play with her nephew (Liam was in bed already). On Monday Daddy set off for work and the two mommy's set out to take the boys to Morro Bay for lunch (mama sat Liam in a restaurant high chair for the first time--which he loved, mama ate her entire meal baby-free!) and we took the boys to feed the seals (Liam's first time seeing seals and Morro Bay, come to think of it).
And here are some randoms of my little guy lounging in his pj's Grandma/A-Va got him and showing off his new hat mama and Auntie picked out for him!
We had our first sleep through the night in WEEKS (maybe months, I think it's been 6-8 weeks) last night! He devoured quite a bit of oatmeal and VOILA! he slept through the night. Mama and Daddy are so happy we read your signs and started you on solids... it was a difficult decision, but we really felt it was something you needed. Good to know we're doing something right!
As you can see, we're having lots of fun over in our neck of woods. Liam turns 5 months on Saturday so check back here for stats & photos this weekend!

I love these 2 sweeties!
On Sunday night, Auntie Kimber and Cousin Braxten surprised us with a visit! We all went out to dinner and then came home to feed Liam his first bowl of oatmeal. He LOVES the oatmeal so much better than rice cereal (we were beginning to get the cereal spit back at us and lots of tears). Not so with the oatmeal, he gobbled it up all three nights we've given it to him and even looked at us like "what, no more?" at the end of his feedings!
YUMMY!
