Gender Reveal Day!

Hey everyone! So we're hoping today will be Baby #2's special gender reveal! At 5pm (pacific standard time) we are going in for an elective ultrasound to try and see baby & ultimately determine the gender! This will be broadcast LIVE at 5pm (pst).

With the apartment search starting, the organizing/prepping we need to do to get our things ready for pcs (will we need to pull out boy clothes?) & all the paperwork, etc. we need to get in place, we know we won't have time for a "gender reveal" party (like we did with Liam). Besides, this baby refused to give us a peek earlier, so I guess he/she has decided this is how he/she would like to be revealed. If you miss the live broadcast, don't worry, the link should work for a week after the appt.!

Before viewing the live broadcast, we'd like everyone to take a guess on what they think the Baby is, so we can record it (as we did with Liam). For those of you who like to do research before making a guess, here's some possibly relevant information (if you believe in old wive's tales).

-We have one son
-My first trimester was completely different than my pregnancy with Liam. I was sooo sick! I felt miserable & nauseated from weeks 6-10, but only threw up 2-3x.
-Heart rate has been 160's & now leveled out in the 150's.
-Chinese Lunar Calendar says girl
-GenderMaker test says girl
-Food cravings/aversions: in the beginning, nothing sounded good but sucking on Jolly Ranchers! Chicken made me feel so sick in the beginning, but I eat it fine now. My major aversion with Liam (eggs) is one of my favorites now! I also love tortilla chips with salsa and spicy beef jerky. Mexican food is still my fave! In the beginning, I survived on sweet fruits (plums, apricots, peaches, etc).
-I am the oldest of 2 girls. Kevin is the youngest of 3 children, he is the only boy. There are 2 grandchildren on the Snowden side (both boys) and 4 grandchildren on the Fagundes side (2 girls, 2 boys).
-Mother's intuition says girl!

If you could go to the poll and vote (& leave a comment explaining your thought/reasoning) we'd be so grateful. This will make the baby book :)

Is Baby F #2 a he or a she?

Therapy...

Not being silent about our loss is looking to be the best therapy for me during this difficult time. Through Facebook I've had countless friends reach out to me and share their stories of loss. Although it doesn't make me feel better, as we're talking about too many babies in heaven, it does make me feel less alone. So I was diagnosed w/ blighted ovum. Meaning the gestational sac and placenta was growing inside of me (the ultrasound showed it was indeed around 7 weeks along) but the baby stopped developing and was reabsorbed into my uterus. Problem is, the placenta is responsible for pregnancy symptoms, so my body still thinks it is pregnant, but there is no longer a baby or embryo. So, until I actually miscarry the tissue, I will feel pregnant. I don't know how to explain how I've been feeling the past few weeks. At first I thought it was just my uneasy feelings of this pregnancy being "unplanned" and so close to my previous pregnancy. It took me a wh...

25 Weeks & Doctor's Appt.

We hit the 25 week mark today!  Hard to believe!  Time is flying so fast... We had our doctor's appointment today (Kevin is out of town Thursday, so we moved it up).  I weighed in at a whopping 109.8!  My nurse and my doctor's response was they are so so proud of me (I felt so special!  Who would have thought GAINING weight would be so exciting?!).  Kevin's response "WHOA!"  And my response to his "WATCH IT Buddy!"  Ha!  So that's almost 14lbs of weight gain!  I really am quite proud of myself... never thought I could do it (although, I spend most of my time eating these days, so it makes sense). The nurse said I "look cute, am starting to show and have that pregnancy waddle."  Considering I did not feel like I was waddling (sometimes I have to because my tailbone hurts so bad) I was not exactly thrilled about this comment, lol!  I asked Kevin if there is something he is forgetting to tell me... ha! The doctor measured my...
