Being 2 (in photos)

Haven't blogged in a while, so catching up with photos tonight and *hopefully* videos tomorrow!
Bath time @ Grandma's!

Brushing his teeth @ Grandma's (she taught him to rinse/spit)

Puzzles with cousin!

Sleepover @ Liam's house

Donuts are better with your cousin!

This is his cheese face

Enjoying bfast with mommy. What a beautiful young man I have on my hands!

People of Walmart, lol! He had a train conductor hat on a few seconds before this photo!
He wanted to "read to the baby"... I think Liam is going to be a GREAT big brother. I have video of him trying to feed his sister candy the other night. He's also started asking about "Ly Ly" a lot! He even drew her while Facetiming with daddy (mama first, then dada, then Liam & Ly Ly!)

Grandpa training the two youngest firefighters

Liam's Papa & Grammy spoiled him with these tractors. The blue one was Kevin's! Liam LOVES them!

He always lines things up (tractors, trains, cars)

The Hanford library has ALL the fun stuff mom!

He woke up the other day & I asked "oatmeal or cinnamon toast sticks?" He said "donuts!" I'm weak for him & weak for donuts... soooo off to the donut shop we went!
Oh these next few photos! The things my mom encourages him to do! Totally kidding, my son is in a new phase. He likes pretending to be a dog. My mom let him take that as far as he wanted, apparently!

Liam's first pinata (before we left VAFB he went to his girlfriend Aj's party!). He LOVED the pinata!

Music class. He loves the ending (bubble time!). I need to get more photos of him actually participating in music class & also in his new art class (that I just learned is closing!). Such a bummer. Guess the teacher doesn't have time to run it, sure wish I was going to live here, I'd keep it up & running. Stay tuned though, that may be a pursuit for me in Hawaii!

Like father, like son

Oh this kid has his dad's personality. Liam's first trip to a naval base was a success! He loved the "airplanes" (jets) & base fire truck. Our convo leaving the base: "mama I ride airplane?" (jet). I said "yes you can ride a jet if you want to be a pilot in twenty years or an airplane when you move to Hawaii." response "no mama, I busy. I coloring." I turn around & see him like this! Lol!

(he also told me he "needed a new body, we go store!"). Oh my!

Puzzle time at the library

A little dark, but he just loves "foating" (floating) in the tub! And I absolutely adore him!
He's going to KILL me for this one day, lol. Liam RANDOMLY wants to go on the potty, so I help him in that endeavor. We're not officially potty training because our pediatrician at VAFB suggested we go at his pace (if he's willing before baby or the move) OR wait if he's not willing until after we settle in Hawaii. She said with the new baby and a move, we're better off, as he will suffer much regression regardless. So, when he's interested, we try it, but I don't push anything!

Unfortunately, it wasn't a GREAT start to the season for the Steelers (hey half our team was on the bench injured!) BUT I think he's too cute of a fan not to share! And I KNOW his dada would agree!

Therapy...

Not being silent about our loss is looking to be the best therapy for me during this difficult time. Through Facebook I've had countless friends reach out to me and share their stories of loss. Although it doesn't make me feel better, as we're talking about too many babies in heaven, it does make me feel less alone. So I was diagnosed w/ blighted ovum. Meaning the gestational sac and placenta was growing inside of me (the ultrasound showed it was indeed around 7 weeks along) but the baby stopped developing and was reabsorbed into my uterus. Problem is, the placenta is responsible for pregnancy symptoms, so my body still thinks it is pregnant, but there is no longer a baby or embryo. So, until I actually miscarry the tissue, I will feel pregnant. I don't know how to explain how I've been feeling the past few weeks. At first I thought it was just my uneasy feelings of this pregnancy being "unplanned" and so close to my previous pregnancy. It took me a wh...

25 Weeks & Doctor's Appt.

We hit the 25 week mark today!  Hard to believe!  Time is flying so fast... We had our doctor's appointment today (Kevin is out of town Thursday, so we moved it up).  I weighed in at a whopping 109.8!  My nurse and my doctor's response was they are so so proud of me (I felt so special!  Who would have thought GAINING weight would be so exciting?!).  Kevin's response "WHOA!"  And my response to his "WATCH IT Buddy!"  Ha!  So that's almost 14lbs of weight gain!  I really am quite proud of myself... never thought I could do it (although, I spend most of my time eating these days, so it makes sense). The nurse said I "look cute, am starting to show and have that pregnancy waddle."  Considering I did not feel like I was waddling (sometimes I have to because my tailbone hurts so bad) I was not exactly thrilled about this comment, lol!  I asked Kevin if there is something he is forgetting to tell me... ha! The doctor measured my...
