Half Way There!

Well, we're half way there (I am 20 weeks, 1 day) and we've narrowed down our name list to about half (I am starting to think our baby will not be nameless when born afterall!).  I wish I could say we've almost decided on the bedding set, but mommy's heart is in interior design which means I must find the one--so I've continued to look and now the options have grown (much like our name list has been doing over the past few weeks!).

Mommy-to-Be, 20 weeks 1 day pregnant:

Here are some more crib options (I still like the one I posted a few days ago, see below).  I am also still very set on accessorizing with jungle/safari animals (monkeys, elephants, giraffes, lions, etc).  I plan to buy the bedding set and if it has one, a matching mobile and matching valance and then accessorize with the animals.

Here are the new bed sets I am considering:
My first reaction was that this is too girly, but thought I could make it more masculine with the addition of animals (lions would work really well with this set, don't you think?).  Also, our nursery is already painted a popcorn color (light yellow) and we're not really looking to repaint it, so I thought this would really go with the walls perfectly!

This set does not come with a mobile, but I thought this would go perfectly!

Second Option:

VERY Busy, but I would only order the bed set, the mobile and the valance (that SHOULD decrease the craziness a bit).

I also thought these accessories might match well:

The liner and border in these particular accessories are actually more tan than white (the photos don't do them justice).

Wall decals

So, here we go again!  Mommy really loves the first option (with the orange/yellows) but thinks it will be difficult convincing Daddy that it will be masculine when all is said and done (I don't think he can visualize like I can)... might take some convincing, but mommy is up for the challenge!

Next project: find Baby Boy a Name.  I am happy to announce that Kevin and I did our homework last night and narrowed down our list to a Top 6 (we had 14) and we actually agree on them all!  Major accomplishment and I am so proud of us!  Curious?!  Check out our new and improved name list at: http://www.babynames.com/namelist/9752638
You can even vote on each name (like or dislike).

I would like to celebrate the half way point by finalizing one decision (either bedding or a name).  Hopefully, we're close to one of those goals... wish us luck!

Therapy...

Not being silent about our loss is looking to be the best therapy for me during this difficult time. Through Facebook I've had countless friends reach out to me and share their stories of loss. Although it doesn't make me feel better, as we're talking about too many babies in heaven, it does make me feel less alone. So I was diagnosed w/ blighted ovum. Meaning the gestational sac and placenta was growing inside of me (the ultrasound showed it was indeed around 7 weeks along) but the baby stopped developing and was reabsorbed into my uterus. Problem is, the placenta is responsible for pregnancy symptoms, so my body still thinks it is pregnant, but there is no longer a baby or embryo. So, until I actually miscarry the tissue, I will feel pregnant. I don't know how to explain how I've been feeling the past few weeks. At first I thought it was just my uneasy feelings of this pregnancy being "unplanned" and so close to my previous pregnancy. It took me a wh...

25 Weeks & Doctor's Appt.

We hit the 25 week mark today!  Hard to believe!  Time is flying so fast... We had our doctor's appointment today (Kevin is out of town Thursday, so we moved it up).  I weighed in at a whopping 109.8!  My nurse and my doctor's response was they are so so proud of me (I felt so special!  Who would have thought GAINING weight would be so exciting?!).  Kevin's response "WHOA!"  And my response to his "WATCH IT Buddy!"  Ha!  So that's almost 14lbs of weight gain!  I really am quite proud of myself... never thought I could do it (although, I spend most of my time eating these days, so it makes sense). The nurse said I "look cute, am starting to show and have that pregnancy waddle."  Considering I did not feel like I was waddling (sometimes I have to because my tailbone hurts so bad) I was not exactly thrilled about this comment, lol!  I asked Kevin if there is something he is forgetting to tell me... ha! The doctor measured my...
