We're back from Sacramento (this round anyways). Daddy had a minor surgery and is recovering well. We are hoping to get good results on all of the reports this week. Just playing the waiting game now...
Liam did GREAT traveling to/from Sacramento and living in a hotel for 3 days! He sure is a great baby... so laid back! We are so blessed. Mama brought home a daddy who was/is not feeling so well (w/ stitches and several holes in his tummy) and Friday night, Liam had his first fever (101) due to TEETHING (we've counted 6 little buds). My poor guys! When we do illnesses in this family, my boys truly do it up. So we're currently in Hanford leaning on the grandparents for baby-duty while daddy recovers (we are so thankful to have such supportive/helpful family). Hopefully he'll be feeling better soon. Liam is still a happy-go-lucky baby (again, we're so blessed). Even when he doesn't feel good he's still smiling. Bless his heart!
Liam signed his first sign yesterday! MILK (grandma, grandpa & daddy all witnessed it). He has continued with the milk sign today when he's hungry! WOW! So very exciting! We're trying to get photos of it! Here's a video where he does a less than flattering milk sign at the very beginning, but mama made the mistake of signing milk to him after he signed it several times (thinking daddy already caught it on video). SO he's already frustrated by this point. We'll continue to try to get a video and/or photo.
He is definitely making progress in the crawling world! Here's a video of him last week and this week he's actually up on all fours, rocking back and forth and even moving his hands and knees forward (just not at the same time). When he coordinates them all, he'll definitely be off and moving. We anticipate this happening in the next few weeks... guess we have lots of baby proofing to do when we get home! For now, he's content (and quite good at) going backwards and spinning circles!
I really do NOT want to jinx myself, BUT Liam is starting to put himself to sleep! Daddy is usually the night responder, but now that he is in recovery mode, mama is on duty (pretty much all day!). Since mama is EXHAUSTED by night time, we've (okay, she) has resorted to allowing Liam some time to himself to "work it out" on his own. I don't let him all out cry, but I do let him whine a bit. And you know what?! He goes to sleep on his own! I am SO PROUD. Throughout the night I have to go in (about 4 hr increments) rub some Orajel on his gums, insert his paci and WALK OUT (no patting his back for 5, 10, 15, 20+ min). He's doing GREAT! Keep up the hard work sweetie. We're so proud of you.
He sampled some homemade applesauce today and will officially try some tomorrow. He REALLY seemed to like it! AND we've got him eating peas (well, so far he SAMPLED peas and actually swallowed them) without having to mix it with butternut squash. We're going to try a full meal tomorrow! Wish us luck.
And just because here's our cute lil' guy in his room last week after a nap. I love his precious smiles!
And his precious laughs!
Finally, since my sister in law officially announced her news today, we'd like to CONGRATULATE Michelle, David and Natalie on the new baby they are expecting. This Christmas we received the best gift of all--news that we will have another niece/nephew at the end of July/beginning of August. We really are excited to meet him/her and are so happy for the expanding Remillard family! What a blessing.

Liam loves this fire truck (and wears Grandma out... she'd push him around in this all day if he asked her to!).
He is completely capable of holding this popsicle himself, but he insists Grandma does it (or does she?!).
He LOVES frozen bananas! Feels so good on those awful teeth!

Here he is trying the crawling this week! Lots of progress, I'd say!
