Walking & Fun

Mr. Liam is definitely a walker now. It's still not his preferred mode of transportation (I'd say he's progressing to half crawling, half walking). And now he's not as shy about it (he even walked in front of his friend Caden, Mama Jenee & Rye the dog!).

Speaking of our amazing new friend's... they brought us a yummy dinner tonight (and delicious cookies this weekend and more adorable clothes for Liam today!). I don't know how we got so lucky... Jenee is like my twin and Kevin really enjoys chatting with Derek. I look forward to seeing their entire family every day and am sad when we cannot get together. We are so blessed to have these amazing folks in our lives! We are so happy we made the move here... definitely found people we can relate to and friends (more like family) for life. Thanks Jenee, Derek, Caden & Rye for who you are and all you bring to our lives. But I promise, we'll still adore you even if you don't bring us gifts daily. I PROMISE!

Notice our crazy child is just a blur in most of these photos (because he cannot sit still!).

Liam loves his baby (as I mentioned in a previous post). The other night mama wrapped her up and Liam held her (we did NOT position him like this... how sweet is he?). He is quite the imitator.

My latest challenge with Liam is climbing. I am moving everything away from furniture he can climb and just when I think I've got it all, he finds something else to climb! His rocking chair next to the window and his toy shelf, bad idea. His push/ride on toy next to the entry table, bad idea. His activity table and the rocking chair, bad idea. His activity table and... well you get the idea. He is even trying to climb into the tub, so that door has to remain closed as well. Liam is quite the busy body!

It's so funny, Liam's friend Caden is so calm and can actually sit long enough to do a puzzle or look at a book. Jenee and I think it's so interesting/funny how different the boys are. One things certain, it sure is crazy fun around here.

The walking is still really hard to catch on video because you never know when he is going to do it. Here are some videos from the other night. He is exhausted, so we're sitting close together (so he didn't have to travel as far) and he is only crying because he wants the camera and he's not getting his way!

And here's how I found my baby after I returned from cleaning up lunch the other day (please ignore the awful singer in the background, she will NOT be trying out for idol EVER!).

Silly boy!

Kevin gave Liam his first balloon... ha! It was/still is pretty funny, but makes mama nervous.

And finally, Liam ate spaghetti for the first time the other night (he has had the noodles before, but it was always without the sauce or meat). He got the full works the other night and he LOVED it and definitely needed a bath afterwards!

Two more whole weekends until party time. I can hardly believe it!

Lots of love to everyone! Until next time...

Therapy...

Not being silent about our loss is looking to be the best therapy for me during this difficult time. Through Facebook I've had countless friends reach out to me and share their stories of loss. Although it doesn't make me feel better, as we're talking about too many babies in heaven, it does make me feel less alone. So I was diagnosed w/ blighted ovum. Meaning the gestational sac and placenta was growing inside of me (the ultrasound showed it was indeed around 7 weeks along) but the baby stopped developing and was reabsorbed into my uterus. Problem is, the placenta is responsible for pregnancy symptoms, so my body still thinks it is pregnant, but there is no longer a baby or embryo. So, until I actually miscarry the tissue, I will feel pregnant. I don't know how to explain how I've been feeling the past few weeks. At first I thought it was just my uneasy feelings of this pregnancy being "unplanned" and so close to my previous pregnancy. It took me a wh...

25 Weeks & Doctor's Appt.

We hit the 25 week mark today!  Hard to believe!  Time is flying so fast... We had our doctor's appointment today (Kevin is out of town Thursday, so we moved it up).  I weighed in at a whopping 109.8!  My nurse and my doctor's response was they are so so proud of me (I felt so special!  Who would have thought GAINING weight would be so exciting?!).  Kevin's response "WHOA!"  And my response to his "WATCH IT Buddy!"  Ha!  So that's almost 14lbs of weight gain!  I really am quite proud of myself... never thought I could do it (although, I spend most of my time eating these days, so it makes sense). The nurse said I "look cute, am starting to show and have that pregnancy waddle."  Considering I did not feel like I was waddling (sometimes I have to because my tailbone hurts so bad) I was not exactly thrilled about this comment, lol!  I asked Kevin if there is something he is forgetting to tell me... ha! The doctor measured my...
