THE BIRTHDAY BOY!
Liam's is officially a 1 year old as of 12:36p.m. Monday, June 13th. We celebrated his birthday on Saturday. It was so much fun, despite that nothing went as mama had planned (especially the weather--darn wind!). But, we made it work and being with family was such a blessing. Everyone traveled long distances to be with Liam on his special day. He/we are so blessed! (Caden you were there with us in spirit, we NEVER forgot about you, hugs to you, your Mommy and Daddy during this trying time).
Liam's morning started with his big gift from Mama/Dada, which he loves!
After he played for a while, we moved on to WAFFLES for breakfast (his favorite!). After breakfast, mama/dada started setting up for the party and Liam woke his Auntie and cousin Braxten. They helped tremendously with keeping Liam busy while we got stuff done around the house. Braxten even read Liam a bed time story before he went down for his nap!
Grandma and Grandpa Snowden arrived while Liam was napping. They went right to work helping us get things done. I must say... if we did not have my mom, dad, sister, Randall working so diligently, we probably would not have pulled off this amazing party (oh and Braxten, who kept reminding me amongst all the chaos that the day should be about fun!). We are so grateful for all they went through that day for us/Liam. I cannot even put into words how much it ALL meant to us. And quick shout out to my amazing husband who hit the ground running early Saturday morning and never stopped (he even put up with me when I panicked that we weren't going to finish in time!). Hubby I know I should tell you this more... you're an AMAZING husband and father. Thank you!
My mom anxiously waited for Liam to wake. FINALLY he joined us and Grandma jumped into action. She got Liam all dressed for his party, fed him some snacks (he was getting hungry I'm sure, he's not used to having to wait for a party to begin to have lunch!), entertained him and most of all loved all over him! He loved it and I enjoyed watching (when I could!).
Liam's air walking Mickey, he LOVES this balloon!
Chasing after him (he has spent all weekend hugging, kissing and beating up on Mickey!).
The cupcakes and Liam's cake (cupcakes did not turn out at all like I wanted, but they were good... chocolate was by far the best flavor!).
Food table (we eventually got another table, which I never got the chance to cover, but then we were able to spread out the food and put out my little food signs, which I never got a photo of... sorry!)
Mickey greeting guests and the favor bags
Entry table, Liam's first year in review flower pot & autograph frame
Come inside, it's fun inside!
Randall helped out so much and was so great with Liam. Thank you Randall, you're so awesome!

Auntie Patty & Liam (I just realized I did not get a photo of Liam with his Aunt Kimber or Michelle!).
Uncle Jake & Auntie Patty cruising around with the birthday boy (he was taking advantage of people who would hold his hand, so he didn't have to work as hard with the walking!)
The kids playing...
Gifts (THANK YOU everyone! for being so thoughtful with love, toys, clothes and big boy blankets!)...
He really wanted to nurse (kept lifting my shirt!). After a brief nursing intermission, he was ready to go again...
AMAZING blanket, Jennifer (my friend/Aj's mama) made for Liam
Blankie made by Grammy
Braxten's card (he wrote in Japanese, ha!)
He LOVES his instruments
Uncle David built this toy box for Liam. We ADORE it and are so touched that he spent so much time thinking about and making this for Liam. It's already serving its purpose in Liam's room (we needed an actual toy box so bad!). Isn't it exquisite?
Hey, Ryan check this out!
Standing on Grandma/Grandpa's gift
This box had EVERYTHING Mickey you could ever imagine!
Cake time (black was a terrible idea, mama what were you thinking?!)...
Bring on the cake!
The aftermath. He ate A LOT (and it all came back up early this morning!).
Everyone digging in to cup cakes...
What a mess!
Loving on grandma after his bath
I cannot tell you how much it warms my heart to see my son's connection with his grandma. He doesn't see her a whole lot (wish I could change that) but you would not know it with the way these two interact. He's a pretty loving kid, but he's just so free, at home and in love with her. And I feel so relieved, at ease and peaceful when she has him.
He loved having the balloons tied to his ears
See where my son gets those gorgeous eyes from?!
Liam, Dada and Mama hope you had fun and know how special you are to us and the rest of your family/friends. You are such a blessing and an amazing young man, truly unique and special. Dada and Mama wanted your special day to be filled with love and fun. We hope we accomplished that! Hard to believe you're 1, but we're accepting it and acknowledging your new "big boy" ways. We're learning to let go. We just hope you know how proud we are of you! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY BEAR!
Playing with his toys this morning...
Opening one gift from mama/dada today (he would not leave our computer alone while I was trying to upload these pics!)...
Tomorrow is officially the big day. We're going to spoil Liam mildly with his favorite foods, a couple more small gifts and maybe even a trip to the pool (he loves it there). We don't want to push him too hard because we leave Tuesday for SEA WORLD, the San Diego zoo, possibly Legoland and lots of fun! We think Liam is going to really enjoy it and we're so excited to take him on his first official vacation! Check back next weekend for photos.
We think Liam would agree that this may be the BEST gift of the day...
Yep! That title says what you think it says! Liam is going to be a big brother (and a great one at that). Happy Birthday to the Big Bro& SURPRISE to us all! More on that later, though AND videos from Liam's party to come soon... to be continued!
