Black eyes, Music & Kisses!

Okay, I totally forgot to mention that Liam got his first kiss last week from his friend AJ. She was rocking in his chair and rocked pretty close to Liam. It looked like she wanted a kiss, but she kept on rocking. So, Liam laid one on her! It was too cute and he seemed really excited afterward! Ha, silly boy!

Yesterday I was outside talking to a friend while her two children and Liam ran around playing. Liam was fascinated by his friend Annabelle's scooter (he rode around on it, with Sara or myself pushing him for quite some time). Well, he went to check out the scooter, lost his balance and hit the front metal bar of Annabelle and Ethan's stroller! Sara said she thought he hit his mouth, so I ran over, checked inside and saw no marks, blood, etc. so I loved him up and held him for our entire walk, thinking he'd be fine. When we got home he ate lunch and I put him down for a nap, all the while not noticing a thing!

When he woke, I freaked out. His entire eye was swollen and pink. By the end of the afternoon it had started turning purple! You can't really tell from these photos, but it's pretty bad (in my mind anyways). Daddy says it's not his last, but I'm a little more distraught over it. Today it is really purple, but because of it's location, when his eyes are open you don't really notice it (I don't think anyone in music class caught it today... if they did, they didn't ask). When he's looking down you can really see it. Looks painful, poor kid!

Right side, look below his eyebrow :(

Doesn't seem to be affecting him any!

Today I managed to get a few photos of Liam during music class. He LOVES when the scarves come out (and the instruments, no picture sorry!) and last week he started helping the other kids put the instruments/scarves/etc. away when we are done with them. Today he was wandering around during one of the songs and as soon as Ms. Kitty brought out the basket to put the scarves away, he RAN over and started picking up scarves. Hmm... wonder if he can do this with his toys?!

Getting a scarf to dance with!

 Dancing

He loves to put the scarf on his head, cover his face and spin circles until he falls!

Yes this is LIAM helping to put scarves away

 Picking up more

 and more

Helping the kids put the instruments away

Proof that he really was helping to clean up

And another thing I don't want to forget. EVERY animal Liam see in a book or in person, he says "Baaaaa"... hmm, guess we need to work on this, huh? Silly boy!

Therapy...

Not being silent about our loss is looking to be the best therapy for me during this difficult time. Through Facebook I've had countless friends reach out to me and share their stories of loss. Although it doesn't make me feel better, as we're talking about too many babies in heaven, it does make me feel less alone. So I was diagnosed w/ blighted ovum. Meaning the gestational sac and placenta was growing inside of me (the ultrasound showed it was indeed around 7 weeks along) but the baby stopped developing and was reabsorbed into my uterus. Problem is, the placenta is responsible for pregnancy symptoms, so my body still thinks it is pregnant, but there is no longer a baby or embryo. So, until I actually miscarry the tissue, I will feel pregnant. I don't know how to explain how I've been feeling the past few weeks. At first I thought it was just my uneasy feelings of this pregnancy being "unplanned" and so close to my previous pregnancy. It took me a wh...

25 Weeks & Doctor's Appt.

We hit the 25 week mark today!  Hard to believe!  Time is flying so fast... We had our doctor's appointment today (Kevin is out of town Thursday, so we moved it up).  I weighed in at a whopping 109.8!  My nurse and my doctor's response was they are so so proud of me (I felt so special!  Who would have thought GAINING weight would be so exciting?!).  Kevin's response "WHOA!"  And my response to his "WATCH IT Buddy!"  Ha!  So that's almost 14lbs of weight gain!  I really am quite proud of myself... never thought I could do it (although, I spend most of my time eating these days, so it makes sense). The nurse said I "look cute, am starting to show and have that pregnancy waddle."  Considering I did not feel like I was waddling (sometimes I have to because my tailbone hurts so bad) I was not exactly thrilled about this comment, lol!  I asked Kevin if there is something he is forgetting to tell me... ha! The doctor measured my...
