Liam turned 17 months today. I was telling Kevin, funny how I feel like I was JUST pregnant with him, but don't remember him being a baby! Guess we tend to block out all those sleepless nights, huh?
Liam started his day with a new t-shirt I just bought him. He was obsessively pointing at it before we put it on. After it was on him, he walked around for five minutes pointing at the trains. If you'd ask him where his trains were, he'd look down and point at his chest/belly. This kid adores trains! I caught him doing some other goofy things too :)
We spent the day relaxing, went for a walk and played. After Liam's nap, we decided to take him to an indoor bounce house in Orcutt. For five dollars, the kids can bounce for an hour. Liam was EXHAUSTED after fifty minutes! He walked over to the cubbies, grabbed his shoes and handed them to me. Guess he was ready to go. But oh the fun he had while he was there! A 6 yr old girl took Liam under her wing, she helped him through the obstacle course bouncer several times. Every time she'd come around him his eyes lit up and he'd say "uuuuwww"... such a ladies man already.
After the bounce house, we took our big 17 month old out for pizza. He reminded me, he does the cutest thing now when I say "it's hot!" He blows on his food (phooing it as I call it!). It's just too cute to see him imitate me/us.
Alright now backing up to the beginning of our weekend. Here is our Iraqi War Veteran on Veteran's Day with his favorite little man.
We spent the morning of our Veteran's Day eating belgian waffles (Gigi just gifted us a belgian waffle maker--so yummy!). Then we unexpectedly hosted our weekly music class at our home (our instructor was not told the youth center where we meet for class would be closed on Vet's Day, it was windy and cold out, so we invited everyone to our place!).
After music, we headed out to treat Kevin to lunch at his fave sandwich shop on base. Then we headed out to the Pismo Outlets for some shopping and finally ended our evening at Applebee's in AG where Kevin received his free Veteran's dinner. It was a fun and relaxing day out with family... took my mind off everything and reminded me, I am SO BLESSED!
Saturday was a relaxing day of walking, parks, naps and movie night. Liam took an interest in the fish and then wanted to take photos with our camera.
And finally, going back to last weekend and last week. Photos of Liam in his overalls, just because he was too stinkin' cute, Liam checking "his" facebook (he climbed up there himself!) and Liam eating his dessert after dinner the other night (yummy, chocolate goldfish... thanks A-va!).
Alright, all this fun has me feeling pretty exhausted! Happy 17 months to the sweetest, most unique little boy I know. My miracle, my blessing, my world... love you Liam David!
