Last week Liam got a train table! He was overjoyed. We have somehow found a way to make him even more crazy about trains. Hope it's not anything he grows out of too soon, as our entire house is literally covered in trains!
We just got back from a trip to Hanford. My grandmother's beautiful service, where we sent her to be with God was on Friday. It was a lovely ceremony and just what I needed for closure. I know now that my grandmother's spirit has been set free and I'll hear from her again soon. And one day (hopefully in the far future) I will see her again!
Saturday night, my best friend's mama stopped by to drop off Liam's Christmas gift (my friend lives in Nevada, where she attends PA school! I'm so proud of her). It was nice to see her mother, who I have not visited with in years. I hope to see you too Linds, real soon. Until then, here are some shots of Liam opening his gifts.
A big thank you again and again for being so thoughtful. I'll let you know how the record-a-story goes this week (we'll be doing one night without daddy!). I'm sure Liam will be thankful that Dada is still able to read him a story before bed! What a generous and thoughtful gift... we are so blessed to have you in our lives!
Speaking of train obsessions, we are making progress in Liam's big boy room. My mother in law finished his valance and pillowcase. We added some wallpaper, a shelf (grandpa--do you recognize it?) and wall decals. Liam was so excited to see it last night!
Up next... his bed skirt (grammy) and a Thomas bed (grandma). Did I mention how BLESSED we are to have so many wonderful people in our lives? Thanks to Uncle & Aunt Remillard we have a toy box made with love, thanks to Grandpa Snowden we have a bookshelf and wall shelf made with love. Thanks to grammy and grandma we have the makings of a fabulous toddler room for the biggest train lover I know. We also have train sets, train attire and accessories to complete the vibe courtesy of Aunt & Uncle Avila, Auntie Kimber and GG.
Liam's room is literally filled with love and thoughtfulness. Hugs to all of you for making it so!
