Last Sunday, we went to La Purisima Mission after a friend recommended it. Kevin has always talked about it (he runs there all the time!) but we once saw a Discovery Channel special about it being haunted (I guess the cemetary no longer has markers and supposedly the spirits are angry over this and haunt the place!). Erring on the side of caution, I told Kevin it'd be best not to visit (I didn't want to bring angry spirits home with me, we've had bad enough luck on our own!).
Last weekend when we were discussing a place to bike ride, Kevin suggested we try it out. Since my friend didn't mention any spirits following them home, I figured it'd be okay (we just avoided the cemetary!). The bike ride was a challenge, but very fun! This is a unique mission because it still has a working ranch, thus showing what a complete mission would look like. Liam got to see a pig, a steer cow, horses, donkeys, goats and sheep... great for him to hear the actual animal sounds since he's so verbal about those sounds these days! We also toured the mission (he loved going in and out of the buildings). It was a successful family outing!
Please excuse all of the orbs in the photos. Our lense was NOT dirty. Either those spirits were with us or my grandmother was?! Either way, we haven't had a case of "bad luck" yet, so I think it was our guardian angels!
And here is a sneak peek of Liam's new big boy room. Grammy is making him a valance and bedskirt. My mom contributed the fleece comforter and the Thomas pillows. Perfect room for a certain obsessed lil' train lover, don't ya think?
