We are all moved into our new home. The process went much smoother than I thought. I was worried Liam's sleeping (naps and bed time) would be affected, but he was a trooper. He slept every time I went from one house to the other (45 min. drive) and he continued sleeping through the night (he woke early the second day in the house, but we are thinking he was cold... we were still trying to figure out the heater). In reality, I should have been more worried about my cell phone, which took another dip in the dog water dish (thanks Liam). That is up and working again, so no major casualties or issues to report!
We are so happy in our new home. It is so nice to be back on a base where I feel completely understood and "at home"... it is really hard to put into words how my neighbors or even the checker at the commissary make me feel. It is so nice to be back amongst the military community. I am getting a kick out of Liam's face when he sees someone in uniform. He is certainly not used to it (daddy rarely wears his at home and this is an air force base where neither one of us is accustomed to the uniforms worn here).
Enough about the move... time to back up a bit. On March 31st it was so hot mama decided to take Liam to Walmart (mostly to cool off). I happen to come across a baby pool, so we bought it and went swimming after Liam's nap. He wasn't too sure about it at first, but after the water warmed a bit he started to enjoy himself. Sure was a nice way to cool off and have some new fun!

These photos make me cringe--so nice to have a real backyard to play in now!
Yesterday we took Liam to meet the Easter bunny. This time, I introduced them for a few minutes before handing him off. It didn't look like it was going too well, but then Liam decided he was going to be okay and started hamming it up for the camera (like his usual charming self). Kevin and I laughed. He looked so proud of himself up there, beaming with pride. He looked as if he was saying "I'm doing it, I'm doing it!" He definitely did better with the Easter bunny than he did Santa (unlike his mama who was terrified of a inflatable Easter bunny when she was a baby).
Here are some photos of Mr. Curiosity before we left

And with the Easter bunny

Not too sure at first

Here's where we are thinking it's not gonna go too well!

Mama, Dada... HELP!

You made us so proud

This was also Liam's first time at a mall. He loved "walking" around the art gallery and staring at himself in glass windows. He loved people watching and being doted on. He loved the kittens and bunnies in the pet store. But most of all he loved...

Watching "big boys" play (Liam wants to be a big boy so bad!) and...

driving cars! (Grandpa Snowden would be so proud)

He says "vrrrmm"
Liam you are a really special little guy. Daddy and I were just talking about how grown up you are now. You love to play trucks/cars and make a "vrrmm" sound as you push them around. It really is precious to watch you play like a big boy (bittersweet, actually).
Your a little flirt, you love the ladies (especially toddlers!). You literally stop traffic, people stop to touch you and tell us how beautiful you are. You get attention wherever you go and you love it. You are so curious, you butt right into people's conversations and they always stop to dote on you (and you ham it up). You're our social butterfly. You have quite the personality and are so independent these days.
You won't go to sleep without a fight, lately mama and dada have to leave the room because patting your back doesn't work. We feel like you're telling us you can do it yourself (but it does require some tears--which truly breaks our hearts).
You love food and we cannot believe how much of it you can put away. We're guessing it's because you are so active! When you want to go, you're gone in a blink of an eye. Turning your back for even a second can be dangerous (for cell phones especially!).
Your dada is your world... you get all wiggly when he comes home from work. Your relationship with your father melts mama's heart. Daddy has never been afraid of one dirty diaper or the storm before a nap and it shows. You truly adore him and that means a lot to me.
You're a happy go lucky kid and so very well natured. I hope we can continue to nurture that as you grow. Thanks for all of your hard work, cooperation and understanding during the past few weeks. It's been rough on mama and daddy, but you stayed strong and remained our shining light. We are so lucky to have you to brighten our days!
