Catching Up

I just put the media card from our camera in the computer and realized I didn't post any photos of our lil' man flying his first kite this past weekend. We were in Walmart last week and he kept walking up to and grabbing a Blue Angels kite (Grandpa Snowden would be proud!). Dada told him he could get it and they'd fly it over the weekend. Lots of fun (maybe more so for Kevin than Liam!).

Liam really wanted to take Caden for a ride!

Liam also got his own broom over the weekend (he LOVES the broom, mop and vacuum cleaner--and I hope that NEVER changes... HA!). He already has his own little "play" vacuum that he adores, so it was only appropriate for him to also have a broom (we'll add a mop to the collection soon, I'm sure!). Here he is sweeping the house (and denying it). Shaking his head "no" is his favorite thing these days (don't think he understands what it means). We're working on a "yes" but so far "no" is more favorable (go figure!). As you can see, he's still a very animated and convincing story teller!

Also forgot to mention he has another tooth (5 total). He didn't show any excessive signs of teething (I noticed him chewing/drooling a bit last week). It's the tooth right next to his top left tooth. He sure is a cute lil' jack-o-lantern (but he's not allowing me to take any photos of it!).

Mama's little personal side note--I am recovering beautifully from my d&c and feeling great! Very, very relieved to not be sick or in "limbo" anymore. I also came to terms with the fact that it just wasn't the time for us to add to our family and when the time is right, it will happen.

I am NOT ignoring anyone (I've been super busy with Liam, surgery and life!). Thanks to everyone for the numerous calls, texts, emails, visits, etc. I love you all!

Special thanks to Jenee and Joy for watching/loving on little man the afternoon/evening of the surgery. Jenee all the play-by-play photos (showing how much fun and just how loved Liam is by the Rose family) really helped make me feel better before the procedure. I could not get the photos off of my email to the computer so I could share them, so if anyone's interested in viewing Liam's photos while with Miss Jenee and her family please visit The Rose Family blog... you'll need to scroll down a bit!

Joy, the chicken soup was delicious! Thank you for dinner (and lunch). Not having to cook, sure made the recovery process easier on me. Thank you so much. And as I KNEW he would, Liam enjoyed his time with you and was more than well taken care of and content when we arrived (I am always so confident in my friend Joy, I am so blessed to have her). Hugs to you (and your girls) for all of your hard work and love that evening!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU everyone for your ongoing support... I certainly have felt the love both near and far. Hugs to you ALL!

Therapy...

Not being silent about our loss is looking to be the best therapy for me during this difficult time. Through Facebook I've had countless friends reach out to me and share their stories of loss. Although it doesn't make me feel better, as we're talking about too many babies in heaven, it does make me feel less alone. So I was diagnosed w/ blighted ovum. Meaning the gestational sac and placenta was growing inside of me (the ultrasound showed it was indeed around 7 weeks along) but the baby stopped developing and was reabsorbed into my uterus. Problem is, the placenta is responsible for pregnancy symptoms, so my body still thinks it is pregnant, but there is no longer a baby or embryo. So, until I actually miscarry the tissue, I will feel pregnant. I don't know how to explain how I've been feeling the past few weeks. At first I thought it was just my uneasy feelings of this pregnancy being "unplanned" and so close to my previous pregnancy. It took me a wh...

25 Weeks & Doctor's Appt.

We hit the 25 week mark today!  Hard to believe!  Time is flying so fast... We had our doctor's appointment today (Kevin is out of town Thursday, so we moved it up).  I weighed in at a whopping 109.8!  My nurse and my doctor's response was they are so so proud of me (I felt so special!  Who would have thought GAINING weight would be so exciting?!).  Kevin's response "WHOA!"  And my response to his "WATCH IT Buddy!"  Ha!  So that's almost 14lbs of weight gain!  I really am quite proud of myself... never thought I could do it (although, I spend most of my time eating these days, so it makes sense). The nurse said I "look cute, am starting to show and have that pregnancy waddle."  Considering I did not feel like I was waddling (sometimes I have to because my tailbone hurts so bad) I was not exactly thrilled about this comment, lol!  I asked Kevin if there is something he is forgetting to tell me... ha! The doctor measured my...
