It's been a fun weekend (so far). Today we went to Solvang to ride the trolley. Figured Liam would LOVE it since it is train like and involved horses, plus Solvang is so pretty, we knew it'd be magical for Christmas. He was uneasy at first, but then really started to enjoy himself.

Mommy and Liam before the ride!

He was really concerned about those horses!

Daddy and Liam, who started coming out of his shell!

Standing up, having fun!

but still checking on those horses!

Big smiles!

He kept kissing the window, yep our son the window licker!

Hello everyone!

waving hello to people as we passed them.

Liam and Dada at the end of the ride!
Friday night we drove to Atascadero for Winter Wonderland. It was a fair type thing with real snow! Although, the real snow was such a small amount it was filthy disgusting by the time we got there and was more like ice than any snow I've seen, so we skipped it. Didn't matter much, we only really went for the TRAIN! Which Liam LOVED!

Getting ready

Waiting in line for the train, we waited twice because he enjoyed the ride so much the first time!

He was so excited!

Standing with the big kids while waiting in line

Really did NOT want to get out to give the other kids a turn

He was pushing it like "go! go!"

He's in the fifth "car"

You can stop watching after the train takes off with my kiddo! I didn't think they were going too far, so kept rolling, but they didn't come back. Too lazy to cut the video down, so I'll leave it up to you ;) but remember, I warned you, it's boring!
Not sure why he was whining in this one. It was his second ride and I assure you, after he got going he was ALL smiles and giggles again!

We NEVER turn down a bounce house!

First carousel ride. He loves horses, so we thought it'd be a hit. He loved it, but was more focused on the churro Kevin just bought him :)

Please excuse the awful photo/video quality. Our Nikon died after the first two photos, so we had to resort to our Kodak :(
It's been a fabulous weekend with my guys. Tomorrow we're taking it easy, mostly baking some goodies for friends for Christmas and maybe venturing to the Farmer's Market. I'm hoping to get some photos with Santa next weekend, but as I said in my previous post about the Christmas tree lighting on base... Santa has NOT gone over well this year either, so I'm hesitant to torture Liam much further. He saw Santa last night at the Winter Wonderland and was NOT interested. One day... maybe!
Oh and we received news on Thursday that we have two probable new duty stations. San Diego (where Kevin would do sea time) or Hawaii where he would NOT do any sea time and would go back to regular 7:30-4:00 days (previous to this we were told Hawaii would be shift work, which was not ideal!). The Hawaii orders sound VERY tempting and could be very beneficial to Kevin's career (might make him a shoe in for a chief promotion)... minus having to live in Hawaii, I'm all in (lol). Eeek! Never thought I'd have to go back. Will it be an ALOHA for this family? We'll keep you posted...
Until then, enjoy the remainder of your weekend!
