Yesterday I had my ultrasound... everything has passed on its own! Thankfully. On a negative note, I have a SEVERE infection that may or may not have been caused by the miscarriage. I am in a lot of discomfort, so hoping the antibiotics clear everything up quickly.
My appointment with a new doctor (well, the doctor who did my d&c, so not entirely new, but new to the "newest" situation) has been scheduled for next week. We are going to discuss my fertility issues and see what he wants to do (I'm thinking probably nothing now, but if/when we fall pregnant again, I'll have a doctor in the early part of my pregnancy readily available to me, which makes me feel better!).
Today was eye appointment day for the entire family. Kevin is currently at his appointment, but Liam and I finished up this morning. Good news... my prescription FINALLY has not changed (having Liam wreaked havoc on my eyes) but my eyes have been reshaped by the contacts I've worn for years, which could have caused me a corneal abrasion (thankfully we caught it before it did that!). So, I had to have my eyes dilated and a new contact lense fitted. Just means more appointments next week :(
And the worst news... Liam should have scored a 2 on his eye exam, but he scored a 1. The doctor said it is inevitable that he will need glasses when he is older. Said it's in his genes :( We are going to hold out on that and see if he complains of any vision issues later. Sure crushed me though, I'd prefer he not have to go the glasses and contacts route. They are expensive and ANNOYING, especially for boys. Poor kiddo!
This family has been through A LOT toward the end of 2011. Hoping 2012 looks much brighter for our family!
