Another quick post...

Liam will sit in his bouncy chair for about 5 minutes, long enough for mommy to make a sandwich and inhale it!

I am really slacking off on the blog lately. I just cannot find the time to blog lately (wonder why?! lol). Anyways, I'd like to post some photos from the past few weeks and quickly update you on Liam's progress.

We went to the pediatrician on Wednesday. Liam weighed in at a whopping 8lbs 9oz. This little guy is AMAZING--growing so strong, so quickly. I honestly cannot believe he is getting so big or so old (he'll be 6 weeks tomorrow). Where has the time gone?! The doctor and I think we may have narrowed the tummy problem down to my prenatal vitamin. So I am cutting it back to every third day while his tummy adjusts. Kevin and I also think his three week growth spurt was part of the problem (oh boy--we're coming up on another one, 6 weeks... wish us luck).

The doc also warned that certain things I eat will cause Liam problems so I just have to be aware of what I eat that causes the problems and not eat it! So far we're thinking spaghetti and caffeine in coffee pose problems for Liam. Those experiments (at Liam's expense--poor baby) are still being conducted so we'll see!

What has Liam been up to? Well he has been sucking on his thumb a few times in the past few days especially when daddy is trying to feed him (silly boy!). He has started SMILING! It's been a challenge but I finally caught part of it on the camera. Isn't he adorable?

Also, I stuck my tongue out at him the other day and he did it back. I thought it was a fluke so I did it again and so did he! So smart. He's also started "talking"...

He continues to love his baths--we actually use them to calm the fussing in the afternoons/evenings (although he is getting better about the fussing). He still fights his naps during the day but with some rocking and patting on the back you can get him to sleep. If you hold him as he naps you can get anywhere from an hour to three hours out of him, if you put him down you're lucky to get thirty minutes! Makes it difficult for mommy to eat, go to the bathroom, pump bottles or accomplish much of anything. Quite the challenge, but I love EVERY moment of being his MOM!
 Playing with mommy

First time in his robe! Wasn't too sure about it at first but LOVED it after he calmed down!

I could not pick just one so you get all the videos!  Oh & please excuse all of the terrible singing and shrieking (I get WAY too excited about EVERYTHING he does):

Therapy...

Not being silent about our loss is looking to be the best therapy for me during this difficult time. Through Facebook I've had countless friends reach out to me and share their stories of loss. Although it doesn't make me feel better, as we're talking about too many babies in heaven, it does make me feel less alone. So I was diagnosed w/ blighted ovum. Meaning the gestational sac and placenta was growing inside of me (the ultrasound showed it was indeed around 7 weeks along) but the baby stopped developing and was reabsorbed into my uterus. Problem is, the placenta is responsible for pregnancy symptoms, so my body still thinks it is pregnant, but there is no longer a baby or embryo. So, until I actually miscarry the tissue, I will feel pregnant. I don't know how to explain how I've been feeling the past few weeks. At first I thought it was just my uneasy feelings of this pregnancy being "unplanned" and so close to my previous pregnancy. It took me a wh...

25 Weeks & Doctor's Appt.

We hit the 25 week mark today!  Hard to believe!  Time is flying so fast... We had our doctor's appointment today (Kevin is out of town Thursday, so we moved it up).  I weighed in at a whopping 109.8!  My nurse and my doctor's response was they are so so proud of me (I felt so special!  Who would have thought GAINING weight would be so exciting?!).  Kevin's response "WHOA!"  And my response to his "WATCH IT Buddy!"  Ha!  So that's almost 14lbs of weight gain!  I really am quite proud of myself... never thought I could do it (although, I spend most of my time eating these days, so it makes sense). The nurse said I "look cute, am starting to show and have that pregnancy waddle."  Considering I did not feel like I was waddling (sometimes I have to because my tailbone hurts so bad) I was not exactly thrilled about this comment, lol!  I asked Kevin if there is something he is forgetting to tell me... ha! The doctor measured my...
