Photos, Photos, Photos!

Time to catch up on all the photos I haven't had time to post!

Starting on Saturday, Sept. 11th:
You had not seen G.G. since you were born!  She really enjoyed loving on you & you loved her too, you kept laughing & cooing

Finally got a photo of you with Daddy's Great Aunt Laura!  You really seemed to love her too!
Then we took you back to Grandma/Grandpa's house.  You think Grandma is really silly when she talks to you and makes funny faces!
She really gets you laughing and talking
Oh Grandma, you're nuts!

On Sunday, Sept. 12th you were 13 weeks old and only one day shy of 3 months!  We spent the day celebrating cousin Braxten's birthday at the zoo and later back at his house.  It was your first trip to the zoo and you did great.  Lots of observing, napping and eating!

And here are some random photos of you hanging out at Grandma/Grandpa Snowden's house that weekend:

Here are some random photos from your 13th week of life:
You LOVE your jumperoo
And you love just hanging out with mama!
So fun!
Yummy hands!
This past weekend was Cousin Ryan's birthday!  We attended his party on Saturday, Sept. 18th. You were very good. You spent most of the party sleeping, although you did wake to eat a couple times. Cousin Ryan seemed to have a lot of fun turning 3 (mommy's memory card was full, so these are all the photos I was able to get). In other big news, you were 14 weeks old Sunday, Sept. 19th!

And here are some random photos at Grandma/Grandpa Snowden's that weekend:

Oh and a video from last Monday (Sept. 13th, your 3 month birthday).  Your daddy is so proud of this:

You were watching from the recliner, then started getting antsy, so I put you down in front of me and you started "walking" (by the way, it kills us that you know one foot goes in front of the other and that you have to make forward progress--you've been doing this for weeks!  If you were able to balance yourself, you'd walk no problem!).  Anyways, you "walked" over toward the tv, sat down and started watching & talking!

Finally, here are some photos from this week (14 wks old):
Passed out after your shots
Poor baby
You like tummy time now

We've been practicing your sitting up since you've started doing "ab crunches" in an attempt to get up from laying on your back (which I have been trying to catch on video since last week, but you'd prefer this little skill remain a secret!).
All smiles even when you fall from the sitting position!

Here's video of you sitting (and falling).  USUALLY you try to get back up (you get your neck and shoulders off the pillow) but you haven't wanted to show this on video yet!

Finally, I don't want to forget to mention that you are really into tracking objects now!  You follow mommy with your eyes anywhere and everywhere she goes (you've been doing this for a while, but lately you're so curious I cannot sneak away even once!).

And over the past few days you've taken an interest in the dogs as they run around the living room and play.  You look at them like they are so silly!  You are so incredibly observant and so interested in the world around you.  We are so proud!

Well, nap time is over, so I have to run!  PHEW!--I managed to get all the photos/video up--what an accomplishment!  You sure are a busy boy these days!

Therapy...

Not being silent about our loss is looking to be the best therapy for me during this difficult time. Through Facebook I've had countless friends reach out to me and share their stories of loss. Although it doesn't make me feel better, as we're talking about too many babies in heaven, it does make me feel less alone. So I was diagnosed w/ blighted ovum. Meaning the gestational sac and placenta was growing inside of me (the ultrasound showed it was indeed around 7 weeks along) but the baby stopped developing and was reabsorbed into my uterus. Problem is, the placenta is responsible for pregnancy symptoms, so my body still thinks it is pregnant, but there is no longer a baby or embryo. So, until I actually miscarry the tissue, I will feel pregnant. I don't know how to explain how I've been feeling the past few weeks. At first I thought it was just my uneasy feelings of this pregnancy being "unplanned" and so close to my previous pregnancy. It took me a wh...

25 Weeks & Doctor's Appt.

We hit the 25 week mark today!  Hard to believe!  Time is flying so fast... We had our doctor's appointment today (Kevin is out of town Thursday, so we moved it up).  I weighed in at a whopping 109.8!  My nurse and my doctor's response was they are so so proud of me (I felt so special!  Who would have thought GAINING weight would be so exciting?!).  Kevin's response "WHOA!"  And my response to his "WATCH IT Buddy!"  Ha!  So that's almost 14lbs of weight gain!  I really am quite proud of myself... never thought I could do it (although, I spend most of my time eating these days, so it makes sense). The nurse said I "look cute, am starting to show and have that pregnancy waddle."  Considering I did not feel like I was waddling (sometimes I have to because my tailbone hurts so bad) I was not exactly thrilled about this comment, lol!  I asked Kevin if there is something he is forgetting to tell me... ha! The doctor measured my...
